24Hrs race for Meningitis

Andy Hitchings and his best friend Andy Miller are hosting a 24 hour iRacing charity race in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation. Some background information on the reason behind why they are putting on this event is that Miller is due to run the London Marathon in 2020. His reasons for doing so are that he contracted Meningitis as a baby but was lucky enough to fight it and return to full health. It’s not difficult to comprehend how awful this must be for families with children going through this horrible illness.

This is why we aim to raise £2000 to help the charity towards finding a cure and helping others.

The event will be held at the new Silverstone track on iRacing between the 25/01/2020 and the 26/01/2020 with open practice starting at 2pm, Qualifying at
2.40pm and Race start at 3pm GMT. Car classes will be the GTE and the GT3 field

100% of money raising is going directly to The Meningitis Research Foundation via Andys Just Giving page which can be found here

We currently (13 Dec) have 24 teams entered from around the world and expect the racing to be relaxed but competitive and enjoyable for everyone participating or spectating.

The event will also be livestreamed across Youtube and Twitch.
