It’s time for a new Beat the Rookie challenge, and this time it’s at Snetterton 100 in a Ginetta G55 GT3. This is a great combo of an easy car to handle, and an interesting short track, with both fast and tight corners. I didn’t know the track before i jumped on it, but i picked it because it looked simple, and because I should be able to do it faster than 1 minute (currently recording using the Xbox feature to capture the last 60 seconds).

It turned out to be a great track. It is very smooth, and it has a couple of fast sweeping corners, a couple of tight ones, and a technical one that is on top of a slight crest that will send you flying off the track if you take it too fast.

This lap is far from perfect. It is actually not even good, but for beginners like you and me, it is a milestone. Beat a Rookie are the lap times i could put down right after successfully learning how to keep the car on track and practicing for a few laps. If you start doing some slower rounds and gradually add speed, taking notice of where you go off, and where you can add a bit more speed, you should be able to beat me pretty fast.

The time to beat is 00:45:108

About The Author

I've been hooked on racing games, ever since the Burnout series back in the late 90s and after going through some painful years trying to learn the F1 series games, i am now hooked on Forza. I am not the fastest on the track, and not a fanatic, but i enjoy sim racing a lot, and try to get better and faster.
