If you have ever tried painting a car on Forza, or making a design for it, you have tried using the build in color picker. This is a range of predefined colors, that you can choose for your car or liveries. There are many colors there, and honestly a few that i can not tell the difference between. Especially the greens are very close.

Non the less, i recently found a feature that i hadn’t noticed before. There are even more colors for you to choose between, than that table of predefined colors!
When you pick a color, you can press “X” to fine tune that color! This will bring up three sliders, that will let you adjust HUE, Saturation and brightness. This, virtually lets you choose any color you may want. It is also a great way to create subtle textures for larger areas of solid colors, like the ones on the car bellow. Notice the two purple colors used at the back of the car? The difference is barely noticeable, but its there, and it makes large single colored areas less boring to look at.

If you like the design of this car, you can pick it by searching for RR or looking for my gamer tag “Firben”

About The Author

I've been hooked on racing games, ever since the Burnout series back in the late 90s and after going through some painful years trying to learn the F1 series games, i am now hooked on Forza. I am not the fastest on the track, and not a fanatic, but i enjoy sim racing a lot, and try to get better and faster.
