It’s been a bit slow the past few weeks here, and it actually happened right around when Forza 7 launched. This site has mainly focused on Forza, and i have been passionate about it. Personally I’ve been on Forza 6 daily, racing online with friends, doing public lobbies or leagues.
I have been looking forward to Forza 7 and had great expectations for it if not for improving areas i felt needed work (like online game, track limits, driving standards) then at least to an upgraded version of Forza 6.
After spending a bit over 40 hours with it, i still can’t love the game half as much as i did Forza 6. There is not one thing that i can point to, that is the sole reason to this, but something is missing (besides the obvious features that are still not ready). I don’t know if i am disappointed at the game or Turn10 but the game has lost its soul. I don’t feel like doing the weekly League coverage (mainly because there aren’t any at the moment) or even cover any of the features that Forza seems to be very proud of. Personally i almost feel insulted at them trying to hype features that either are not worth it, don’t work, or honestly have nothing to do with racing. The Find Five Friday Challenge, is also set to stand by, until i fall in love with Forza again, but at the moment “It’s complicated”…
An other reason why is has been a bit slow around here, is that I’ve been working on a site called AllVirtualRacing.com with a friend i met through Forza. This has been taking up a lot of my time, but seems promosing. It is a site that is meant to unite all virtual racers, across any platform, any level and any game. Have a look at it, while you wait for me to figure out what is going to happen with RookieRaceline1
