Week 51 is closing in, and this means new leagues on Forza 6. Due to the holidays, and more racers having time to race, this might also mean more activity and maybe more unexperienced racers on the track. No matter what, the leagues that have been put up are interesting and creative

Fomula E

This league is an Endurance race, with slightly more laps for each race, than the other leagues, and a compulsory quickstop. It is locked to S class Formula E division. You are allowed to use a tune or upgrade your cars, as long as they remain in S class. All Formula E cars have the same stats, same price, and same look, so theoretically, they are all the same car (please correct me if i am wrong).

I usually don’t like the open wheelers on Forza and especially not the Formula cars, but i must admit that the Formula E cars are probably the best handling and easiest to drive, open wheeler in the whole game, except maybe for the 1990s Ferrari 641.

You probably won’t see me too much in this league, but i will definitely give it a try just to try it out

FWD D Class

This is an interesting league, and includes some of my favorite cars of the game! There are 25 cars in D class, that are FWD. These are cars such as the Honda Civic, Abarth Esseesseesseesss, Toyota Celica, and my personal favorite, Volvo 850 R. You are allowed to use any modified car that is in D and is FWD though so this means you’d be able to use the one of the 13 cars in E class that are also FWD or even change the drive train of a RWD to make it FWD to get even more options. I would expect to see the VW GTI, Mini Cooper and the Cadillac Limousine in this leagues as well.

Being FWD these cars don’t handle the best but as they are in D class, it doesn’t really matter. They are a lot of fun to drive and you will probably find some good and fun racing in these leagues.

Spec League

Spec leagues are a lot of fun, because all drivers are locked to the same car. It is up to you to drive the car faster than the other drivers, so it all boils down to your driving skills. For this week, the spec league is locked to the 2008 BMW M3. This is a very stable, RWD car, with 414 Hp but a weight of 1655Kg (3649 Lbs). Once you get used to the braking, this car is a very pleasant car to drive, and will do well on most tracks. It is also a good car to drive in Cockpit view, if you want to practice that.

The BWM M3 league is probably the one i’ll be spending the most time in, and the one i look forward to the most. What aboul you?

About The Author

I've been hooked on racing games, ever since the Burnout series back in the late 90s and after going through some painful years trying to learn the F1 series games, i am now hooked on Forza. I am not the fastest on the track, and not a fanatic, but i enjoy sim racing a lot, and try to get better and faster.
