The new leagues for Forza 6 on Xbox next week have just been revealed, and this time they do sound interesting! We’re finally getting some real wheel driven cars, medium classes and some really fun fast cars!
Ghost Class in D
Honestly, I wish this was on Forza at all times. D class is such a fun group and there are so many cars to choose from. For this league, they will be locked to RWD and that is a great thing! There are 72 to choose from and many of them are very good indeed. Looking at the stats, your best choice would be the Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo but honeslty, there are better cars than that. My owne favourite is the Mazda MX5 but take a look at the available cars here. Besides these cars, you can also upgrade any RWD E class car and take it to the track, or even change an FWD to a RWD for it to qualify. Ghosted leagues are safe because collisions are off. You can’t hit other cars, and other cars can’t hit you.
Spec leagues are great, because all drivers will be driving the same car. No tunes, no upgrades and no cheat cars. It’s all down to driving the car better and going faster than the other drivers. This week, it is set to the 1998 Impreza 22B STi. This is an AWD beast that is more or less legendary. 276 HP in a 1270Kg car (2800lbs) translates into a pretty fast C class car, but very manageable car on the track.
You can still adjust your assists and this will be the only difference the cars might have, besides the paint jobs. If the lobbies will stay clean and you find some good racers to join, this might be a lot of fun!
This is an Endurance league, where you’ll be running slightly longer races, and will be forced to do at least one quick stop. It is locked to the Early GT division, in R class.
This sounds like a lot of serious fun! The GT cars in general are great but the Early GT cars were crazy. The interesting thing is that there are not that many R class Early GT in the game. Only the 89 Audi Quattro comes with the game, and there are 5 DLC cars available. My personal favorite is the Lancia #31 Monte Carlo Turbo. Once you get used to the Turbo, that sounds like 2 mice fighting inside your head, it is very easy, fast and stable to drive.
The #62 Mazda Motorsport RX7 is also a very interesting car, that looks like a computer inside, and a kind of weird bird beak on the outside.
Luckilly, you can uprade all the cars that are in the S class, and this will let you drive some of the greates BMWs (M1 pro car & 3.0 CSL). Also you could go with the Ford Capri or the Ferrari 512 BB/LM. These are some legendary cars that once you get used to their quirks, are really a lot of fun to drive. I hope the lobbies stay clean, and allow for some serious fun
