Although the leagues from the past week were fun (especially the one with the Ultimate Sport Machines) this week looks promising as well. We’ve got racing in E class and in R Class to suit everybody

2012 Spec Nissan GTR

The Spec leagues are challenging, because all drivers run the same car. It is up to you to drive it better than other, but this can be a challenge, especially with a car like this weeks league. You’ll be forced into a 2012 Nissan GTR in stock configuration. Although the car feels fat and quick, and although it is AWD, it can be tricky in the corners. It is not unpredictable, but you need to know how to drive AWD to take it around tight corners.

Compact Classics

For the Ghost leagues, we’ll be locked in the slowest class of the game. E class is a fun but challenging class. Not because it’s fast (obviously) but because the cars often are momentum cars that require you to built up speed, and maintain it through the corners. This being a ghost league though, means that other cars won’t be in your way so that makes it a bit easier.
You are allowed to tune cars, and this will give some surprising car choices, as the cars with the lowest stock PI allow for more upgrades. Give it a try

Modern GT Endurance

This league looks and sounds like a lot of fun! Although R class cars can be tricky to handle, some of them are alright, and the excitement alone here, make up for the sweat they need to make them behave well.

For this league, you’ll need to pick a car in R class, from the Modern GT division. You’ll find some pretty sweet cars here, and although they all are dream cars, some of them seem to be more popular than others. I personally love the BMW Z4, but it is mostly because of the way it looks. In a race here, they seem to be too slow, although they are very enjoyable to drive. Also, the cockpit view in the Z4 is practically smaller than its rear view mirror, which makes it almost dangerous to drive in live lobbies.

The most popular cars are the Aston Martin DB9, Nissan GT-R and the Ford GT from Le Mans. I tested a few of these, and for me, the Ford was the fastest. This might be because Forza 6 and Ford are best buddies, or because it suits my driving style better.

There is a popular multiplayer lobby, for these Modern GT cars, so we might see more racers here, than we’d normally see in the leagues. No the less, i am sure bring a whole lot of good racing.

About The Author

I've been hooked on racing games, ever since the Burnout series back in the late 90s and after going through some painful years trying to learn the F1 series games, i am now hooked on Forza. I am not the fastest on the track, and not a fanatic, but i enjoy sim racing a lot, and try to get better and faster.
