Last week brought the F1 cars in focus, and resulted in me pre ordering the F1 2017 game even though i didn’t like the earlier versions too much. Forza has really gotten modern F1 wrong, but has almost everything else right.

For this week, we’re back in normal cars, that could turn out to be a whole lot of fun, compared to the unearthly Lotus E23 from last week.

Spec BMW M3

In spec leagues, all drivers run the same car, with no upgrades or tunes. For this week, it’s the 2008 BMW M3. I have gotten to really like this car in Forza, but in stock configuration it can be a bit wobbly. This has its charms, but can be a handful in certain corners. Non the less this is a beautiful car, that looks and sounds great. The awesome livery on this one, was made by gamer tag thatmotorfreak.

Early GT Ghosts

For Ghost Leagues, collisions are turned off. This means cars will simply slide through each other. This drastically changes the nature of racing, but for certain lobbies this is a good (and safe) thing. In this league, you’ll need to pick a car from the Early GT division, is S class. There are 13 cars here, but only 7 of them are in S class (practically only 4 because some of them are doubles). Non the less, there are some cool looking dangerous cars to race here, that sound awesome! The livery with the burned colors on this #93 BMW 3.0 CSL is made by D SILVARU.

FWD C class

Endurance races are slightly longer than normal leagues, and include a forced quickstop. This time, the only limit is that the cars need to be in C class, and be front wheel driven. As you may know, you can make almost any car FWD in Forza, so we are doomed to see some really interesting (and maybe silly) cars in this one.

You may also know that front driven cars can be pretty annoying to race, but thankfully it will be the same for all racers. I’ve taken a few cars on the track, to test them, but there is no chance to guess what people might take to race here. The Ford Focus is, as all Fords in Forza, very good. This is mainly because Forza and Ford are best buddies. I did enjoy the Renault Megane though, especially in this livery by FANOUCHE1964. Don’t forget the Mini though, or the VW Scirocco, that also are pretty competitive cars! Some tunes for the Abarth 500 or the Honda Civic will also definitely be winners in this league. Give it a try and let us know how it went!

About The Author

I've been hooked on racing games, ever since the Burnout series back in the late 90s and after going through some painful years trying to learn the F1 series games, i am now hooked on Forza. I am not the fastest on the track, and not a fanatic, but i enjoy sim racing a lot, and try to get better and faster.
