Forza Horizon 3
Available September 27, but should you buy it?
Is Forza Horizon 3 worth buying if you have Forza 6?
Forza Horizon 3 is on it’s way, and has ben hyped quite a bit during the last couple of months. New cars have been revealed, in game fotage, gameplay, maps, previews and they all point to a very beautifull and action packed game, but don’t expect it to be the new Forza platform where everybody is going to be racing on from now on.
Forza Horizon, is a series of games based on Forza and that use the same engine as Forza. They are open world maps, with events, races, missions etc. that you drive around in, and try to compete. The handling of the cars though is considerably more forgiving than Forza and the game feels more “arcady”.
The Short Answer
Honestly, i don’t have a yes or no answer, but i tend towards a yes. This is mainly because it looks so good, and because it sounds like a lot of fun.
Don’t expect to get much better at racing on the Forza tracks, by driving on Forza Horizon 3. Driving the cars is considerably easyer and it promotes risky driving, instead of race driving
In my head, this game is going to be in the same group as the Burnout games from way back in time, Need for Speed and maybe a little bit of GTA 5. All great games, a lot of fun, but not so much racing simulators. On the other hand, its going to be the best of all this bunch. Further more, it sounds like a lot of people are going to be playing this game online, and it is going to be an active and alive world to drive in.
It’s all about having Fun
It all boils down to what you expect of the game, but most of us just want to have some fun. Myself, i am sligtly obsessed by Forza 6 at the moment, and don’t play any other games. I did try to launch Farcry Primal the other day, but closed it down why it was loading, and went back to Forza 6.
Forza Horizon 3 i think is going to be a good game to use as a break to Forza 6 so i’ll probably jump into it a week or so after launch.
