The new leagues are up for Forza 6 and i’m hopping they are more fun that the previous one. Even though the Spec league sounded interesting, there were none of the past leagues that i really felt comfortable in. It was no problem though, as i’ve been bussy with some races among friends, and also practicing on Project cars that i hope to come with some content for soon.
These cars are in S class and crazy. Similar to the NASCAR cars but maybe a bit more controllable. I have only tried them a couple of times, and they felt too fast and too slidy. The good thing, is that this is a ghost league, so it’s a safe place to race them and maybe get some prcatice. Collisions are turned off, so you can’t hit or get hit by others. I’m going to give these a try, just to test them out, especially as ORL is running a series with these soon.
If you like R class, this is going to be a fun league! The division is locked to Modern Hypercars. Here you will find cars like the Bugatti Veyron, LaFerrari, McLaren P1, a few Paganis and even the Ultima GTR 720. These are all fast cars, that are hard to drive if you are not used to them. They will need a lot of throttle control and good knowledge of the tracks. The races will be slightly longer than normal, with a mandatory quickstop.
Spec Renault Clio 2013
Continuing from last week, this time we are running a front wheel drive, but this time hopefully more controllable. The Renault Clio is a D class car, but usually pretty nimble and fun to drive.
Front Wheel Drive is usually not optimal for racing especially for the faster cars. Luckily, in D class, they are ok, and can be fun, interesting and challenging to drive. It is all down to racing lines, braking points and strategy. In theory, if the lobby is good, with clean racers, this could actually be a lot of fun. The front wheel driven cars, often require earlier braking points though, and it’s a rammers paradise if they are around to just mess things up. We’ll see how it goes and hope for the best!
